On a recent camping trip & 4WD adventure around Lake Naverino, I was taken back by this scene. A few lonely trees branching out from lake as the overcast sky hung looming and threatening to shower its rain upon us. I captured the photo and came home to paint the scene soon after.

Inspired by the amazing colours I saw on a trip to Broome. The beautiful white sand, blue oceans and red dirt and rocks just took my breather away. The reds in this piece were created using oil paint I made from the red dirt I collected while I was there.
